Meet Adrienne Chinn

Adrienne Chinn is an interior designer, writer, speaker and teacher, as well as an avid traveller, photographer, flea market hunter, haiku poet, novelist and chocolate-eater.

After growing up in Newfoundland and Québec, Canada, where she worked as a journalist, she retraced her English father’s footsteps and moved to the UK where she worked in TV and film as a freelancer before training in interior design at London’s KLC School of Design.

She has been running her own interior design business since 1999 and has designed everything from a houseboat to a Swiss chalet, a Victorian hotel, a Scottish gastro-inn, holiday flats in Grenada and Cornwall, a Moroccan guest house and many homes throughout the UK. Alongside her design work, she enjoys speaking about interior design, and has been invited to speak at conferences and design fairs in Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Canada and the UK, as well as on radio and TV.

Her inability to walk by a flea market or antique shop without having a ‘fossick’, has led her to launch a shopping site where she sells her curated vintage and antique finds as well as handcrafted treasures sourced during her regular visits to Morocco. Please come and have a look on her Shopping page!

Her love of Moroccan design has also led her to develop a fabulous 1-week Marrakech Design Retreat for anyone who loves design, from homeowners to interior designers. This year's dates are 30th September to 7th October. Read all about it on the Marrakech Design Retreat page and view the wonderful list of events on the Design Retreat Itinerary page.
