Exclusive Itinerary

Come join Adrienne to discover the design heart and soul of the inspirational city of Marrakech. Adrienne fell under Morocco’s spell over 10 years ago and since then has returned year after year for design inspiration and to delve into its rich culture. She’d love you to join her this September as she shares some of her favourite design finds and places with you!

Stimulate your senses and explore the abundance of creativity in the 'Red City' as you visit the talented artisans in the medina, explore hidden ateliers, shops and historic sites, design museums like the new Yves Saint Laurent Museum, the city's best kept secret of the hidden flea market of Bab Khemis, and learn about decorative design elements like gebs, tadelakt and zellige and the symbolism in Berber carpets through Adrienne’s inspirational talks.

And, of course, there's plenty of time to shop!

Sunday, 22nd Sept.

Marhabah! Welcome to Marrakech!

Plan your arrival to Marrakech for late morning or midday. An airport transfer to the Medina will be arranged for you and Adrienne will meet you and guide you to Maison 28. You will be welcomed with Atay (Moroccan Mint Tea), the week’s itinerary and a riad map.

Following lunch at Maison 28, we’ll take a walk through the nearby souk markets for an introduction and orientation to our neighbourhood in the medina.

Before a delicious tajine dinner at Maison 28, Adrienne will prime you for the week's events with a talk on Moroccan Design Elements.

Art and Culture, Majorelle Blue and Yves Saint Laurent

After breakfast, we'll head to the ‘new city’ Guéliz to visit the famously enchanting Jardin Majorelle and the Berber Museum. The garden was designed by French painter Jacques Majorelle in the early 20th century (creator of the famous Majorelle Blue colour) and was later restored by designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé.

After that, we'll visit the new Musée Yves Saint Laurent, concept stores and the Museum of Art & Culture.

Then, we’re off for a design visit and lunch at Vanessa Branson’s El Fenn riad hotel to see a contemporary take on Moroccan design. We'll visit the entrancing 16th-century palace, Trésor de Milles et Une Nuit nearby, then you'll have a free afternoon to explore the souks, shop or rest.

There's no arranged dinner that night to give you a chance to explore the many wonderful restaurants Marrakech has to offer.
